16. Business Contacts and Direct Marketing
Who we contact: We send marketing about our services to limited companies, mainly operators of goods and passenger vehicles. We use generic business email addresses (for example enquiries@ or info@) and business telephone numbers. We do not send marketing emails to sole traders or ordinary partnerships without their consent.
Where we get your details: We use publicly available sources: your company’s own website, the public list of FORS accredited operators, the Traffic Commissioners’ operator licence register, Companies House, and publicly available business listings. We do not buy marketing lists.
Our lawful basis: We rely on legitimate interests to market our services to limited companies. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) allow us to send marketing emails to corporate subscribers provided that we identify ourselves and give a simple way to opt out, and we do both in every email.
Your choices: You can ask us to stop at any time, free of charge, by replying “no thanks” to any marketing email or by writing to support@transportcomplianceapp.com. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. If you opt out, we keep your company name and email address on a suppression list so that we do not contact you again.
How long we keep your details: See section 11.
By using our App, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.
